Miss Covina/Miss Covina Valley 2013

Monday, January 28, 2013

I just couldn't stay away. I left the competition phase of my life in high school, but I've never been able to stop judging, emceeing, choreographing, directing, or coaching pageants.

When I moved out here to CA, I wanted to make sure I kept my skills fresh, but that I was with a quality system. I decided to jump onto a committee for the Miss California (Miss America) Organization and help out with local programs.

So, this weekend was the 30th Miss Covina Pageant! Congrats to Rita (Miss Covina Valley) and Ashley (Miss Covina)! These two are in for the journey of their lives.

Back to Blogger.

I originally started my old blog because of a job I used to have. My supervisors wanted me to post as much information as I could about myself to connect with their audience and at the time it was great. However, I am about to graduate from graduate school this spring. So, the last thing I want to show up are awesome, intelligent, mature, and embarrassing stories of my 20 year old self during my job search.

In general, even though I am no longer blogging for my former employer, blogging has been a creative outlet for me that I'd love to keep. I do apologize for the scattered-ness...I'm still figuring out my own voice in personal blogging and what I'd love to share or keep private.

I'm also at the age where many of my good friends or cousins have children. I wanted to keep their children's real names private for their safety and for their privacy.

Thank God for technology because I am still keeping my old blog for my own memories---I blogged several milestones from college graduation to my masters program to the exciting moments in my personal life. Blogging isn't for everyone, but you don't know until you try!

So, welcome to Time with Gratitude. I hope your time is well spent here!
